I got to party with Ellie and Devon the other night.
Mommy and Devon entered the Toddler Juggling competition! I think Mommy is winning.
Devon was reading a book to Ellie and me, but like that kid in the back of the room, I decided it was time to mess around while the "teacher" wasn't looking at me.
"No, no...a right triangle has a 90° angle. This is isosceles!"
Here I am, the life of the party! Wokka, wokka! I'm so hard core that I'm strumming my air guitar with a stuffed kitty! Excellent! If there was a lampshade within reach, I would have put that on my head, too. Eventually, they cut me off from the apple cider.
PS: "No me world, Elmo's world!"
I went to Ellie's house and had my first flying lesson.
Ellie and I listened to our ground instructor very carefully before springing into action. Ellie gave our instructor a respectful salute in acknowledgment of the instructions. Had I realized that this was a military operation, I would not have worn pink. People will think I'm
Sue Parrish or something.
Here, Ellie is getting ready to hand-prop the airplane. It is often said that this should be done with an experienced pilot at the controls. Unfortunately, neither of us was particularly experienced, but I had at least flown in an airplane before, so I saddled up in the cockpit.
Here I am soloing the little airplane through the living room! Daddy is right, you never forget your first solo. Moments later I brought her back in for a landing so Ellie could take her turn. When Daddy learned to fly, he shared the airplane with Ellie's Daddy, so it only seemed fitting that I share with Ellie. Well...that and the fact that the airplane actually belongs to Ellie. But that's just a technicality.
My Aeronautical Travels
One of my favorite things is flying in Daddy's airplane. I've traveled as far south as Knoxville, TN (to see Grandpa and Grandma!), as far north as Lake Placid, NY (for lunch in the mountains!), as far west as Kalamazoo, MI (to visit friends!), and as far east as Laconia, NH (to visit Aunt Ann and Uncle Greg!).
This map shows all the places I've been.
